Real Wedding From the bride:
WHY DURANGO Southwest Colorado is such a beautiful place. My favorite thing about the area are the massive aspen groves, so we chose to be married in an aspen grove overlooking the Twilight Peaks and Needles Mountains. It was a destination for many of our guests who had never visited Southwest Colorado! We invited our friends to Durango to spend the week prior to the wedding with us. We explored the San Juan Mountains: jeeping & hiking around Ouray and Silverton, mountain biking the Hermosa Creek trail, and enjoying local restaurants and breweries. THE STYLE I wanted a relaxed mountain atmosphere where guests felt at ease. I chose a color palette of sapphire blue (to match my sapphire wedding band) with turquoise accents and coral flowers. Everything was handmade or DIY, which was a lot of fun and a lot of work, but made for a very personal feel, which all of our guests loved! We actually received thank you cards from our guests thanking us for inviting them to the wedding and commenting on what a unique and special event it was! DurangoWeddingsMagazine.com
