From the bride, Shea: THE CEREMONY We got married in front of the La Plata River. This was meaningful to us because we got engaged while fishing the Animas River. My mother-in-law completely blinged out a fishing pole for us to use over the altar. My uncle performed the ceremony and he did the most perfect job. He kept it light and meaningful and kept Christ at the center of it all. My dad gave Casey a mile lei, which is a significant lei in the Hawaiian culture. It means he was giving Casey the joy and responsibility of taking care of me for the rest of my life.
We laughed the whole night. From the ceremony to the dancing, we had such a good time!
