Real Wedding

From the bride: THE STYLE I love the idea of being casual at a wedding and I really wanted to wear boots with my dress. We made the country theme known so, a lot of people were excited to put on some cowboy boots and come dance the night away with us. THE CEREMONY We had originally planned to have our ceremony outside, but due to a snow storm the night before, we had to go with plan B - a short and simple ceremony inside Purgy’s. THE RECEPTION We wanted our guests to have a great time so, we made sure we had great music throughout the whole reception to keep all age ranges dancing. We also had a “selfie station” with wigs and props. ADVICE Take deep breaths!! Research your vendors to find what you are truly looking for, but don’t let it consume your life! Remember why you are doing all the planning, and don’t forget to tell your fiancé you love them!

Overall, it was an amazing night. I could have done without the blizzard, so we could have had the ceremony outside, but it ended up working out perfectly in the end. FAVE VENDORS Venue, Caterer & Lodging: Durango Mountain Weddings at Purgatory Resort (see inside cover). Sara was amazing throughout the whole process. I asked A LOT of questions, and she answered every one without judgement or annoyance! She helped make our day go smoothly, even with the last minute decision to move the ceremony inside. The food was delicious! I still have friends that talk about how great everything was! Full vendor list on page 90
