Real Wedding From the bride: THE STYLE We really wanted the whole day to feel relaxed, and we wanted all our guests to have a really good time. We were originally going for a rustic meets preppy style, which kind of represents both of us. We started with choosing our color palette, classic navy and white with pops of orange, pink and coral. I think it ended up being a little less preppy and a little more glam, which was fine with me! THE CEREMONY We held our ceremony next to the gorgeous LePlatt’s Pond. The handmade arbor, the pretty flowers, and the chandelier and wine barrel added to the scenery. I was blown away when I saw it all put together for the first time. All that went through my mind was, “Holy cow, we get to get married here.” It started to rain as soon as we began the ceremony, but I didn’t want to call it back so, we just went for it! It made it so special and unique, and something we will never forget. My rock star matron of honor held an umbrella over me for part of the ceremony. Despite the rain, everyone still looked beautiful when it was over! As the saying goes. “A wet knot is harder to untie” so, we will trade the good luck and the strong knot for a little rain on our wedding day.
