Have more confetti than you think you'll need! And have guests come as close to the aisle as possible when tossing it. Have it tossed up and over, not directly at you, and enjoy the experience of being showered!

Make sure all your guests are involved in the toss - not standing in front of you with phones in hand. Ask the celebrant to mention this prior. Also don't squint and cower, keep your head up, and enjoy!

Rose petals give an awesome look too, particularly for your group photo. It makes the traditional cheer actually fun!

Use coloured confetti rather than lavender or bird seed. And have your celebrant ask guests not to throw from too close so it floats down!
