1 Management Summary 1.1

Introduction

Webtise Ltd (Webtise) is a leading supplier of web development and related services to companies large and small across the UK. Webtise welcomes the opportunity to submit proposals in respect of website development to Payment Card Technologies. Webtise is pleased to confirm that we can fulfil all business, technical and content requirements set out in our recent meeting.

From Webtise's experience in providing similar services to many other companies within the UK, we believe that there are several key drivers for any web design service. These are outlined below:1.2.1

2 Summary of Payment Card Technologies Requirements Payment Card Technologies requires the development of an existing website www.firstprepay.com to bring it more up to date, promote the company and it's services. A newly designed website can help achieve the following benefits and goals: • • • • •

3 Solution Details 3.1

Domain Names

The new website can reside on the existing domain name www.cole-group.co.uk

The current email configuration can remain the same.

Design Planning

Webtise's project manager and lead designer will conduct a 'Pre-Design' workshop with Payment Card Technologies to ascertain the following: Site Goals – What is its purpose? What do you hope to gain? Design Message – What do you want to communicate via the 'look' of the site? Target Audience – Who is the site trying to reach? Content – What specific information, for this audience, for this goal, must the site provide? Based upon the results from the workshop, Webtise will create a number if different design visuals. A common theme will be created that can be used throughout the site for each page making sure it all ties together and compliments the image of Payment Card Technologies. Following sign off of the visuals Webtise will move to the construction stage.

Page Construction and Accessibility

The website will be built using the latest techniques in CSS and xHTML. Ease of navigation is very important in websites today and is one of the chief concerns of Internet users. Therefore, your site will also come with all of the navigation links clearly marked and always available. The web site will be optimised so that it is quick to download and works in multiple browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and will work on multiple platforms such as PC and MAC. To ensure the website is accessibility friendly, Webtise will follow the guidelines for Accessibility set out buy the W3C World Wide Web Consortium and follow the techniques and guidelines by Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

Organic Search Engine Optimisation

To help a high ranking in search engines, Webtise will optimise the 4 main areas of the web site: • • • •

Title Tag Meta Tags Description Text Body Text

Ideally these four areas should be different for each page allowing the meta tags to be relevant to the content on that page. Once the website is fully optimised, Webtise will manually submit the web site to the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN.

4 Google Services

With Google clearly being the single largest search engine, they offer a number of services that allow you to list your business and website information within their search database, which will make it easier for new customers to find out about Payment Card Technologies and its services. Webtise has great experience with Google and its products and offer set up for the following Google services: Google Submission

Webtise will manually submit your website to Google to ensure their index robots visit the website and add it to their organic listings. Google Site Maps

Webtise will submit the website sitemap to Google allowing all your website pages to be found quicker and easier by Google. Google Maps

Millions of people search Google Maps every day. Webtise will add a listing for Payment Card Technologies on Google Maps making it easy for them to find you. When potential customers search Maps for local information, they will find your business: your address, hours of operation, photos etc.

7 Service Delivery 7.1

Project Management

At the outset of the project, Payment Card Technologies will be assigned a dedicated Internet Consultant to act as project manager throughout the development stages of the web site. All of Webtise’s Internet Consultants are experienced in providing support and consultation on issues such as design and content in addition to ensuring each stage of development is delivered on time and to specification. Webtise’s Project Manager will have a workshop meeting with all relevant persons within Payment Card Technologies to ensure that all parties understand the full project requirements. Webtise believes that in order to achieve a successful web site it is necessary to work in true partnership with our customers. This being the case, Webtise places no limit to the number of consultations required to complete a project.

7.2

Testing

Throughout the development of the project, the website will be hosted on a test server allowing Payment Card Technologies and Webtise to fully test the site at every stage.

7.3

Ongoing Support

7.4

Account Management

Following the satisfactory sign off of the project and the launch of your web site, Webtise will assign Payment Card Technologies a dedicated Account Manager who will be on hand to offer advice and guidance and co-ordinate the support, maintenance and ongoing development of the site. It is also the responsibility of the Account Manager to have regular service review meetings to ensure a continued quality service.

8.1

Disclaimer Notices

Webtise accepts no liability of whatsoever nature (including any consequential loss of any sort or loss of profit or revenue) in consequence of the failure by Payment Card Technologies to act in accordance with all statutory law, common law and other regulation (including without limitation The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, The Sale of Goods Act 1979 or The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 together with any amendments thereof and any regulations or laws governing sale of goods or transactions whether through the Internet or otherwise) in relation to transactions or sales of any sort between Payment Card Technologies and its customer or customers or any other third party. The client is advised to take its own legal advice in relation to all statutory law, common law and regulation relating to all such transactions and sales and in so far as the client wishes to incorporate any disclaimers or other terms and conditions upon which Payment Card Technologies wishes to rely then such disclaimers, terms and conditions must be notified to Webtise forthwith for inclusion on any site which Webtise might be instructed to provide for Payment Card Technologies.

8.2

Terms & Conditions

Requested Changes during implementation Once the work for the site is agreed upon, if further amendments are required before the new work is live the quote may need to be re-negotiated, depending on the time required to complete the changes requested. Site Maintenance We can charge either an hourly fee or agree on a monthly or quarterly support fee for the work we have completed. If a monthly or quarterly support fee is agreed on it will be reviewed every 6 months to ensure all parties concerned are happy with the amount paid. The support fee will only cover telephone support or minor updates to the work. Major changes will require a new quotation. If the client decides to maintain their site themselves or hire a third party to maintain the site, we will not be held responsible for mistakes or problems caused by this decision. We will also charge where necessary to rectify problems caused by a third party or client maintenance. Surrender of Web Site Files and Information On request we will provide all site files and databases on CD providing that there are no outstanding payments to be made.

Website Development Proposal to Payment Card Technologies Website Copyright All work produced is licensed for use by the client on the agreed number of websites (usually one). The code in use will still be considered either copyrighted to Webtise or will carry a GPL license where appropriate. Site Delays Delays may occur as a result of the client not being able to provide information or access required for us to complete our work within the agreed time frame. During this time we may commence further work and complete that first before completing the work quoted for here. If an excessive number of delays occur due to the client we will charge for all work completed and re-quote for the remaining work and agree a new time frame. Final Payment Once the website or work is completed to the best of our ability we will invoice for final payment, which must be paid within the specified time on the invoice. If there is a major delay by the client for information or modifications to the work, we will invoice for payment with the understanding that we will still complete the work once all final changes and information have been provided.
