✷ Camp Invention
A program of Invent Now Led by Knox County educators, the weeklong Camp Invention program immerses children entering grades one through six in exciting, handson activities disguised as summer fun. In the Create program, children will be challenged to survive harsh living conditions on an alien planet,
“green up” the infrastructure of a polluted city, discover new games featuring non-traditional approaches, and upcycle parts from discarded household appliances to create new machines! In the Envision program, participants spend their time navigating an island via upcycled ships, learning the power of combining magnetism and electricity, while developing and designing inventions with their peers. Each lesson explores connections between science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Discounts are available – register today! • A.L.Lotts June 4-8 contact Hillary.Hudson@knoxschools.org • Hardin Valley Elementary June 4-8 contact Sarah.Woodland@knoxschools.org • Karns Elementary June 11-15 contact Krista.Cardenas@knoxschools.org • Cedar Bluff Elementary June 11-15 contact Christine.Patti@knoxschools.org • West Hills elementary June 18-22 April.Wadley@knoxschools.org • Farragut Intermediate June 25-29 Krista.Cardenas@knoxschools.org www.campinvention.org or 800.968.4332
