VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE PLATFORM OVERVIEW

In 2006, Design Reactor launched the first ever Virtual Experience with key participants such as AMD, Accenture, CDW, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, and Sun. For the first time ever, the industry had a single, centralized virtual resource where they were able to attend keynote presentations, view videos on the latest trends and technologies, download valuable information, and even win prizes in event sweepstakes and treasure hunts (optional feature – contact your event host for availability) Since then, the results from these events have been phenomenal, including over 1 million unique viewers and extremely positive feedback from partners and customers throughout the industry. Why leading companies are going virtual Time and budget constraints are a growing concern for companies of all sizes, greatly reducing the feasibility of attending traditional tradeshows. In contrast, virtual events promise greater access to more information at nearly no cost to the visitor.

Additional information about video files: Codecs: While the video formats above have been shown to work with our system, there are different variations of creating each format, called "codecs". Although we have done our best to accommodate a wide range of video codecs within the above formats, you may occasionally, just as on any other video upload site, encounter a video with an unusual or unsupported codec which may cause the final compressed video output from the VE Platform compression system to not meet your playback quality standards. Data Rate: Please make sure that your video has a video data rate of at least 750kbps (kilobits per second). If it is lower than this, the VE Platform compression system may have to increase the data rate which may degrade playback quality Aspect ratios: The virtual plasma display screens and the Keynote Auditorium Screen, where your video will be displayed in the event, measure 604 pixels wide by 340 pixels high (16:9 aspect ratio). The closer your source videos are to the appropriate aspect ratio, the better the final viewing experience will be. For example, videos at a 4:3 aspect ratio – a common video aspect ratio for videos designed for web and televisions – will be letterboxed (black bars on either side of the image) and therefore not fully utilize the viewable area of the screens. Also, any video that has to be up-sized by the CMS to fit the viewing screens may not yield acceptable viewing quality, so please obtain the highest quality video files you can while staying within the file format/size requirements. Acceptable Audio Formats

Downloadables/Links Downloads and links are an opportunity for you to get up-to-the minute information and external content to event visitors.
