Running for the first time since Gelding No 3, 7, 8.
Record Time: 1min 14.0secs; Median Time: 1min 16.90secs
Stewards Note:
HEARTENED: Following its run on 27/6/2024 it was reported that the horse weakened quickly late-on.
Probable S.P.’s: 7-2 Mayberry Moon (GB), 4-1 Jonny Garlic (GB), 9-2 Territorial Knight (GB), 12-1 Batran (IRE), Sporting Life (IRE), 14-1 Spring Corn (GB), 16-1 Moonlit Stage (IRE), 18-1 Capla Daviekins (GB), 25-1 Fan Mail (GB), 28-1 First Navy Jack (IRE), 50-1 Heartened (IRE)
Those with experience do not set the bar too high, so JONNY GARLIC, an early foal representing an excellent yard, may well be up to the task on debut with stall 3 a good berth. Mayberry Moon got it right at the first attempt at Carlisle and can go well under a penalty, with Sporting Life a potential big improver.
TIMEFORM PREDICTION:
The Great British Bonus (GBB) offers multiple bonuses of up to £20,000 per eligible race for British-bred fillies and mares.
Northern Commercials will present a memento and a bottle of Go Racing in Yorkshire fizz to the winning owner in the Winner’s Enclosure after this race A cash prize of £100 will be presented to the stable employee in charge of the best turned out horse in this race.

The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sporting activity using the unique facilities of its Get Busy Living Centre.
The Centre was opened in Leicestershire during 2018 as the brainchild of founder and former Leicester Tigers rugby player
Matt Hampson who experienced a life-changing injury in 2005 during an England Under-21 training session which left him paralysed from the neck down, aged just 20
Coming to terms with his injuries, Matt chose to focus on what he could do rather than what he could not and to ‘get busy living’ which is the philosophy behind everything the Foundation does.
We help people to get busy living after life-changing injury – helping them back into work, education or sport, or supporting their adjustment to their new life.
The Centre provides expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, mentoring, wellbeing and emotional support, and practical advice to people after life-changing injury
By becoming part of the community, beneficiaries can
draw on the experience and knowledge of others who have been on the same journey. They develop the tools and skills to move on in their lives. The Centre also allows them to be part of an active social scene as they focus on what they can do – not what they can’t.
Eventually beneficiaries are able to become the ones providing support to others which is a huge part of their rehabilitation.
All of our beneficiaries are getting busy living again post-injury and we are proud of them all.

The application of a first-time tongue tie/less testing ground than previously were presumably the catalysts for ACT OF VIOLENCE’s comfortable success at Ripon 11 days ago and a bold follow-up bid could be on the cards given Tim Easterby’s charge remains easily one of the least exposed. Late Arrival, a winner over C&D latest, is feared with a good pace entitled to suit. Havana Rum and Hour By Hour are others to note

Wakefield - Monkhill (Direct 58, 29) (Direct 39, 46)
There are 3 stations in Pontefract – Monkhill, Baghill and Tanshelf. Pontefract Tanshelf is more or less opposite the entrance to the Park, whereas Monkhill and Baghill stations are more centrally located in Pontefract and are around 2 to 3 miles from the course. If you don’t fancy the walk through the Town, taxis are available at the stations.
There is a fourth station at Glasshoughton which adjoins the Xscape complex. This is a couple of miles from the Racecourse. If you have some time to kill, from near Glasshoughton Station (starting in the car park to B&Q!), there is a lovely walk through the Park to the Racecourse. It will take around 45 minutes.
