In Memory of Tony BarrettThe Tony Barrett Memorial Handicap Stakes
Tony was an Annual Member of Goodwood for over 30 years; an avid horseracing fan, this beautiful course was his favourite to visit, so much so that he moved his family from London to West Sussex in 2017 in order to be closer to the action.
He devoted many hours of study to shrewdly selecting winners, and fellow racegoers would often hear his roars of delight emanating from the March Grandstand as one of his horses galloped home.
His wife, Michele, and two children, Lottie and Bart, share his deep love of the sport and a close affinity to Goodwood, and today they are celebrating their wonderful memories of Tony alongside his four siblings, his brothers and sisters in law, his cousins, and many dear friends.

Race Summary
The Gosdens' unbeaten COURAGE MON AMI looked a smart prospect as a three-year-old last season and, although he has to overcome his inexperience now entering handicaps off a lofty rating, he could prove too classy for his opposition. Global Heat is no back number and arrives on the back of two creditable efforts in Group company at Meydan in March. The Godolphin-owned gelding is feared most, ahead of Nathanael Greene, who should appreciate this return to his last winning distance.
Win: COURAGE MON AMI Danger: Global Heat
