Let’s Make Waves Together

Our Mission To advocate for and promote the interests of our retail, professional and community members.

A key characteristic of our organization is heart, along with the hands and feet of service. From over one hundred backpacks donated to students in need, to the many volunteers that make our member and community events come together, chamber volunteers find ways of supporting each other and the Greater Wayzata Area community, We thank members and businesses, like Rick Repasky of Lunds & Byerlys (see below) for giving their time, treasure and talents to serve at such high levels, We have incredible members impacting our community.

Our Vision Experience Wayzata, Minnesota’s destination embracing Lake Minnetonka where engaged businesses and community thrive together.

In the same spirit of community, service, and volunteerism, I am excited to share a new endeavor that will take service to the next level— entitiled, Wavemakers.

Starting with James J. Hill Days, community event volunteers will be known as Wavemakers. As the name implies, chamber members and area residents will come together to serve at our community events, each “making the waves” our visitors enjoy. The special twist on Wavemakers is the ripple effect it will create. For every volunteer effort served at James J. Hill Days this year, The Polaris Foundation will be donating $50 to the designated nonprofit organization of the “Wavemakers” choice. The three organizations supported are Hammer Residences, Interfaith Outreach, and the Wayzata Lake Effect Conservancy.

Wavemakers is a fun and exciting way to double the impact of giving back. So if you haven’t yet, sign up to volunteer at, pick your non-profit, and have an incredible time as we make this year’s James J. Hill Days the best yet.
