Conventional Cooking

Bottom Element with Fan Cooking

Uses both the top and the concealed bottom element for conventional baking and roasting. This method provides the right type of cooking heat for foods that require long cooking times. Ideal for sponges and cakes and is also good for casseroles.

With the concealed bottom element on, the fan distributes the heat throughout the oven. This function is particularly suited for cooking food that requires a moderate surface heat e.g. pizza, open jam or fruit tarts, cheese cake etc.

Installation of the IOC9SE3 on a plinth The IOC9SE3 can be built-in into the surrounding cupboards by removing the legs from the base of the cooker and placed onto a plinth. In doing so there MUST be a cut out in the plinth to ensure proper ventilation to the cooking centre. This cutout should measure 700mm wide x 400mm deep. The plinth or supports for the cooking centre must be able to withstand the weight of the appliance. The IOC9SG3 cannot be installed in this manner.

When the microwave oven is installed above a conventional oven and both operated at the same time, there is a risk of overheating and possible damage to the microwave oven. The addition of a vertical heat shield is required to ensure the heat from the oven does not enter the microwave oven space.
