Recapture the sounds and memories of a bygone era as the Nick Ross Orchestra present an unmissable evening of music and song celebrating the classic Big Band Sound of the Glenn Miller era.
Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a T-bird or a Pink Lady but never quite felt cool enough to pull it off? Well, now is your chance to don those pink jackets, grease up those quiffs and let your inhibitions go for an evening where you are the star and GREASE is the word...
THE SOUNDS OF GLENN MILLER
Featuring hits from Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and Artie Shaw amongst others, the concert would not be complete without reference to the songbooks of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. ‘What a night of hot and thundering big band music we enjoyed...the lights went up... Nick Ross appeared...took up the baton and off they all went into a rip roaring arrangement of Cherokee.’ Dr Swing, BBC Radio Northampton
The evening begins with your host leading a vocal warm-up before they introduce you to your goody bag. You’ll even get a chance to learn how to hand jive. Then just sit back and watch Danny and Sandy and the gang, while singing and dancing along to the lyrics as shown on the screen.

Based on a true story, it tells of the passionate consumptive Violetta. There are many echoes of Verdi’s own life in La Traviata and he threw himself into the music. The highlights include the Brindisi, the best known drinking song in opera, the duet Un Di Felice and Violetta’s haunting aria Addio Del Passato. This magnificent production boasts sumptuous sets and costumes. Sung in Italian with English surtitles.
