Expertise adding value for clients Auckland Linings aims to increase the value it offers to clients by going beyond what is normally expected of a contractor, says owner Bruno Corvello. Auckland Linings specialises in the supply and installation of dry wall and plasterboard systems, walls and ceilings packages. Bruno says one important aspect of the company’s offering is achieving costs savings for the client. “This is achieved by placing great emphasis on communicating with the client. This helps us to find out exactly what they want to achieve on the project, whether it be fire or acoustic rating, water resistance etc. We can then use our experience and knowledge to advise them as to the best and most cost-effective products to help them achieve their goals.” A good example is the company’s involvement in the Hereford Residences project. The former 15-storey Telecom headquarters on the corner of Hopetoun Street overlooking Auckland Girls’ Grammar School is being transformed into an 18-level, high-end residential block by Tawera Group and will eventually feature 119 freehold dwellings. Subcontracting to Naylor Love, Auckland Linings is supplying, installing and stopping the drywall for the project using Elephant plasterboard products, which achieved considerable costs savings for the client. Elephant products used on the Hereford Residences project included Standard Plus (for general walls and ceilings giving a 30 minute fire rating on interior timber wall), Multiboard (for brace, noise, fire and impact applications) and Aquaboard (with a resistant high density core for wet area applications). Auckland Linings started working on Hereford Residences in April this year and will complete the project, which is the largest the company has undertaken to date, by September 2016. Auckland Linings was started in 2010 by Bruno who had previously been operating as a sole trader. With a construction background, Bruno brings 15 years of industry experience
