A wait and see attitude is what Im taking. Id still buy one of those Speedways right now if I wasnt afraid the CEO (wifey) would kill me (lol) A year from now they will all be tucked into collections and those who got them will be real glad that they did,,,my 2 cents __________________

Give it some time, Rich. There are plenty of other threads on this issue. No need to open another one. Patience is a virtue, and a watched pot never boils. __________________

I'll give this thread no more than 2 dozen posts before this pony has had enough whipping and is locked down like the others. Lets just give it a rest and when it is time the answers will come and until then just let th the silence speak for itself. Last edited by X-James; Yesterday at 10:39 AM.. While I agree with what you posted, in all regards, I also believe that there is the possibility of this issue slowly falling by the wayside. If enough time goes by we will forget about it, the details will have been lost and it won't be remembered until the next issue pops up, but at that time that will be the crisis/mix up/supplier problem/wrong part etc. that is being dealt with and this will be pushed to the side. Discussions and questions are not always about "beating a dead horse", sometimes they are, this time I just think geeks would like a response. The DD issues are well over a month old, at first there was no problem, the problems that were occurring were not out of the norm, we were only hearing about them because we geeks "talk" to each other and have the benefit of being in this forum; to a whole sub-forum being dedicated to the problem and then the module issues coming to light. Looking at just this particular problem (not any other Invicta problems) from the start to where it has evolved to warrants us members keeping a civil discussion going. But then again, what do I know? new2watches View Public Profile Send a private message to new2watches Find all posts by new2watches Add new2watches to Your Contacts #7 Yesterday, 07:52 AM

There are no other threads. All the threads are locked as this one will soon be. I feel there will be no statement and if it is who will believe it???? To take over a week to tell a truthful statement, it shouldn't take that long. __________________ Time to Watch as Time Passes Away watchluv View Public Profile Send a private message to watchluv Find all posts by watchluv Add watchluv to Your Contacts #9 Yesterday, 08:51 AM

SilverCowboy Junior Member New Geek "Bandwagon" concerning the Speedway

I had to revisit this "Bandwagon" concerning the Speedway DD ... I have had mine over a month since I had it repaired here in the Dallas, Tx area, and it keeps time within 1 to 2 seconds. I still am waiting for "the other shoe to drop", and have some other prob problem develop. I still don't trust the manufacture process, since my watch had a "screw" missing from the movement. I will keep it and if all fails ... it will be a good "paperweight"! My dear wife of almost "fifty years" gave me a blue Stuhlring Imperial T Tourbillon ourbillon for Fathers Day ... what a wonderful capper to my vast watch collection, ... my "Grail". I'm becoming apathetic with the delay. I didn't purchase the DD Speedway, so it's not a big concern. I have; however, had issues with other Invictas purchased in the latter part of 2009 and d in 2010. I would guess that the economy has caused reduced revenue for Invicta, just like other watch companies and retailers in general. In order to improve the bottom line, I suspect that Eyal has looked to reduce the cost of the product, unfortunately unfortunately,, at the cost of quality. My earlier Invictas work perfectly, the hands don't fall off, the chronos function, and the bracelets don't come apart. Not to change the subject, but I see lots of Androids in my future unless Invicta rediscovers it's identity.

Didn't Jim post some very detailed options about how to repair or replace the watches? The plan is in place. If you are that concerned about the actual statement, it would appear that your buying decision(s) for the future has already been made. Even if they did screw up, they have instructed folks what to do to take care of the problem. I am going to hang on and see how it all plays out. bkacher1063 View Public Profile Send a private message to bkacher1063 Find all posts by bkacher1063 Add bkacher1063 to Your Contacts #14 Yesterday, 09:03 AM

I can understand the need for discussion on this topic but WOW do we really need to try to make the same point over ver and over again? We are taking up valuable band width. IT'S LIKE JIM SAID WE GET THE STATEMENT WHEN THE STATEMENT IS GIVEN. Nothing is going to change with a quicker response. The people who bought the watch that dont have problems will be happy and the watches that are broken will be repaired. Invicta is a huge company and i would bet EYAL has 1 or 2 more pressing matter to deal with. __________________ Did you see that? Do they all got hedges like that? Do they? Keep the faith. We were told there would be a joint statement in the near future. Please try and hang on until we get some sort of answer. I'm sure that after the statement is made there will be plenty of discussion about that also. Let it go for now. It will come eventually. __________________ So many watches, so little time (and money). watchnut62 View Public Profile Send a private message to watchnut62 Find all posts by watchnut62 Add watchnut62 to Your Contacts #19 Yesterday, 10:09 AM

Just in case one option they are considering is to simply ignore the whole thing and hope that it fades away ...... it is okay once in awhile to remind them that we are still waiting here and expect the statemet that was promised. __________________ "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" - Jimi Hendrix WatchYaThink View Public Profile Send a private message to WatchYaThink Send email to WatchYaThink Find all posts by WatchYaThink Add WatchYaThink to Your Contacts #21 Yesterday, 10:42 AM

You are right but sometimes when those that want to just remind them that they are still waiting for the promised statement can be looked at as if they are some sore of a ranting lunatical type crazed mob of wackos. Now I aint saying anyone is like that but over time that is how it all could be viewed. More than a week ago, an "official statement" was promised "in a few days," but nothing has been forthcoming and, in an informal WatchGeeks Poll, 60% said it never would. The result of inaction? Suspicion, rumors, conspiracy theories and apologists. All making this seem much more serious than perhaps it is. And the longer it takes, the worse it looks. It was, at the very least, implied publicly that 1) the D-D module was to blame for the faulty Speedways and 2) D-D was "working directly (with Invicta) ... to identify and correct the issues." Turns out, neither was apparently true and D-D may feel that its reputation has been damaged (or at the very least may have hurt feelings). But how the parties "make up" is inconsequential to most of us. What matters to Speedway owners is 1) a clear explanation of where the D-D modules came from; 2) exactly what's wrong with the defective watches; 3) how likely is it that the defect will occur in the future & whether a recall is warranted and 4) whether ShopNBC or Invicta will extend the refund period for those customers who have been waiting for these answers and find them unsatisfactory. And my guess is that what really matters to everyone -- and why there has been such an outpouring on interest on this topic -- is how forthcoming Invicta will be and whether they'll go "above and beyond" to make this right. I've been reading these threads for days and now I'd just like to say this: There is no reason to issue a state statement ment at this point. Members here have made it crystal clear that they have already made up their minds to either support Invicta on the issue or not to support Invicta because of this issue. A statement at this point would only start a new debate on the truth uth and reliability of every word in the statement. I know that many of you will not agree with this assessment either and then again some of you will.....LOL __________________
