William Montgomery 07/07/1989 Unsolved Cold Case Homicide Case Number 45-21740 Age: 53 Sex: Male Race: Caucasian Case Date: 07/07/1989 County: Washington Last Updated: 08/26/2008 Location of Offense: McCracken Rd. near US 150 Circumstances: On July 7, 1989, the body of William Montgomery, a 53-year-old taxi cab driver from Louisville, Kentucky was found shot to death along the side of the road in rural southern Washington County. The victim’s yellow taxi was abandoned about one mile from the homicide scene. Indiana State Police detectives also believe that a black, late 1980’s model Chevrolet Monte Carlo was stolen near the murder scene could have been involved in this crime. The stolen vehicle was recovered in the Youngstown Shopping Center parking lot in Jeffersonville, IN. The Indiana State Police have strong belief that the general public could assist and also have additional information that can lead to an arrest in this case.

Circumstances: On December 26, 1982, human skeletal remains were discovered by deer hunters in a wooded area in west central Wayne County. A forensic examination of the remains was conducted and it was learned that they belonged to a Caucasian female. Foul play is suspected in the victim’s death. To date, the skeletal remains have not been identified. Dental records and DNA are available to assist in identification of the victim. The attached photo is a reconstruction of the victim. Anyone having information concerning this case, please contact: Indiana State Police District Investigative Commander 540 South Vine Street Connersville, IN 37331 1-765-825-2115

The Funny Page September 2006 – Heiress Paris Hilton was arrested and charged with DUI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08%, the level at which it is illegal to drive in California. Hilton’s driving license was subsequently suspended in November 2006, and in January 2007 she pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge. Her punishment was 36 months’ probation and fines of about $1,500. On January 15, 2007, Hilton was pulled over for driving with a suspended license and signed a document acknowledging that she was not permitted to drive. On February 27, 2007 Hilton was caught driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, again with a suspended license. She also did not have her headlights on even though it was after dark. Prosecutors in the office of the Los Angeles City Attorney charged that those actions, along with the failure to enroll in a court-ordered alcohol education program, constituted a violation of the terms of her probation. On May 4, 2007 Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation. She served 5 days and was released to home confinement for the remaining 40 days due to “medical considerations.” August 2006 - Actor Haley Joel Osment was charged with drunk driving and marijuana possession after he crashed his 1996 Saturn station wagon while returning home from a Los Anglees concert in July 2006. The 18-year-old Osmet, who starred as the boy who saw dead people in “The Sixth Sense,” suffered minor injuries in the accident and was briefly hospitalized. Osment, was released from custody after posting a $15,000 bond. Osment was sentenced to 60 hours of alcohol rehab and education, as well ordered to attend six months of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He was also ordered to pay $1,500 in fines and penalties and placed on three years’ probation.

September 2001 - Brian Hugh Warner (aka Marilyn Manson) was charged with criminal sexual conduct after gyrating against the head and neck of a security guard at one of his July concerts in suburban Detroit. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and assault and battery, and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges. He paid a $4000 fine.

February 2008 - Paris Hilton’s younger brother, Barron, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said. Barron Hilton, 18, was stopped after a witness reported seeing a black Mercedes-Benz weaving on the Pacific Coast Highway, at times drifting into the oncoming lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff ’s Department. Deputies arrested Hilton after he pulled over and got out of the car. He was booked in Malibu, where he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent, authorities said. The legal limit in California is 0.08 percent. Hilton was carrying a fake driver’s license and was also arrested for investigation of carrying a falsified state document, said sheriff ’s spokesman Steve Whitmore. In April 2008, a judge ruled that he be placed on probation and have his driving license suspended for one year. He was also ordered pay a visit to the L.A. County Morgue.

Strange But True According to an Incident Report from the Madison Wisconsin Police Department, state at Vision’s Night Club, decided to close early when the entrance to the business was significantly damaged. It all started when 50-year Keith Rasmussen, from Racine, WI, was asked to leave the burlesque club after he vomited in the VIP area. He left, and headed toward his vehicle. The suspect got into his SUV, put it in reverse, and then gunned the engine and slammed the back end of his Hyundai into the front of Vision’s. After hitting the building, the suspect put the SUV in drive. He jumped the curb, and drove off. When stopped by police, Rasmussen he denied driving to the bar, telling officers “martians” transported him there. But he admitted to seeing “some nice strippers.” While no aliens were charged in the incident, Rasmussen was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless driving and hit and run.
