BOO! We see but we don’t see. We judge based on what we’ve seen. We stagnate through fear of change. Wake up!

smile: A smile costs nothing, but gives so much. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it lasts forever.

None are so rich that can get along without it. And none are so poor but that can be made rich by it.

It enriches those who receive, without making poor those who give.

It creates sunshine in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the best antidote for trouble. And yet it cannot be begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is of no value unless it is given away. Some people are too busy to give you a smile. Give them one of yours. For the good Lord knows that no one needs a smile so badly as he or she who has no more smiles left to give.

...why?

do Film...really?

In a world where computers dominate everything and where “digital” is king. There’s something most satisfying about the process of film photography which defies all logic. With digital you can take thousands of shots. You can see the results instantly and delete instantly. There’s no development, no harmful chemicals. You can transmit the images to any location in the world with little or no effort. So why is film photography so fulfilling? You only have 36 shots on a roll. So you make sure you get it right. Your brain kicks into gear the moment you frame the shot. You check the exposure, aperture, shutter speed and the process has begun. Development feels more like alchemy, as you wait in anticipation of what you’ve captured to reveal itself. You delicately handle your chosen negatives and place them in the enlarger to project them onto light sensitive paper. The test strip tells you what exposure you need and you commit the image to a full 10 by 8. Bathed in the red glow of the safe light you wait for the results to appear. Hours after the shot was taken you’re still not sure what you captured was any good. Once fixed, you can return to normal lighting and you examine every detail of the image. It took effort and skill to produce and you value it far more than what pumps out of your desktop printer. It makes no sense.
