fter the reality show Bigg Boss 7 (BB), actor-couple Kushal Tandon (right) and girlfriend Gauahar Khan (left) have signed up for yet another reality show, Fear Factor — Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK). However, there were reports that Kushal had decided against participating. The actor had apparently suffered a back injury during his stint on the earlier show, and didn’t want to aggravate it. Now, we hear that the man has returned to face his fears on KKK. Kushal says, “My doctor had advised physiotherapy and I have been doing that for 20 days. Now I am better and have got a clean chit from him.” The show, to be hosted by

director Rohit Shetty, will be shot in South Africa in February. Kushal feels fit enough to handle strenuous stunts that he would be required to perform. He is also unfazed about competition with Gauahar. “It’s not a war but just competition on a show. So that’s cool,” he says. Also, BB co-contestant Ajaz Khan, who reportedly said he doesn’t want to come between the love birds again, will also join the line-up. About him, Kushal says, “He doesn’t exist for me. So it doesn’t matter if he’s in the show or not.” Other than Kushal, Gauahar, Pooja Gor, Rochelle Rao, Nikitin Dheer, Mahii Vij and Salman Yusuf Khan, the latest one to join the long list of celebrities is Rajneesh Duggal of the film Dangerous Ishkq (2012) fame.

ven as he’s winning hearts as the ‘pretty young thing’ on TV, in real life too, actor Sunil Grover (left) says he’s got into the habit of shopping for all that a man wouldn’t ever dream of ! “Pehle woh ladies garments wale shops ko main ignore marke chalta tha… abhi ruk kar dekhne lag jata hoon ki yeh bhi toh print achha hai!” said Grover on a recent visit to the HT City office, making the team burst into peals of laughter. Grover also says in jest that nowadays women treat him like a “saheli” (female friend). But ask him if his wife also treats him as a saheli, and he jokes, “She is only interested in my pay cheque.” No matter what you ask him, this 36-year-old comedian can leave you in splits. So, when asked about how his journey from his ancestral village in Haryana to Mumbai’s s tardom, he replied with a straight face, “by train”. Grover hit headlines when he walked out of a TV show, hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma, that made him popular as Gutthi. Later, the channel that aired the show announced they had the copyright to Gutthi. But was he was the one who created and conceptualised Gutthi? “I wouldn’t say I ‘created’ it, but, yes, I did develop it... Gutthi was a reflection of my experiences, my o bservations of various women that I saw and met in my life,” says Grover, who has moved on from that and will now be seen p laying Chutki in the upcoming show, Mad in India, on Star Plus. Finally, ask the funny man, what does he do when he himself needs a laugh, and he jokes, “I just look into the mirror.” DEBASMITA GHOSH

Police complaint against Sherlyn Chopra T

he blame game between Kamasutra 3D actor Sherlyn Chopra (right) and film’s director Rupesh Paul (inset) has now hit a new low. Chopra had filed a police complaint against Paul alleging cheating, forgery and o utraging of modesty. She even refused to promote the Rupesh Paul film and also criticised Paul on microblogging site Twitter for forgery, among other things. Now, Paul has hit back challenging the actor to prove the a llegation and has even filed a police complaint in Kerala under criminal procedures of section 154, for her non-cooperation, misconduct and cheating. Paul says, “All her allegations are false and I have strong evidence of that. I presume she is doing this to save herself from the legal notice that was sent to her, which requires her to pay ` 5 crore as damages. Now that it is the 10th day of the notice period, she would start with all this all over again. Sherlyn has received all her payments for Kamasutra 3D and I have evidence to prove that.” He also said that the ` 7 lakhs, which apparently the filmmakers owe her, was to be given to her for dubbing, which didn’t happen because she didn’t turn up for dubbing. Allegedly, she also demanded expensive gifts worth lakhs beyond the promised money for the movie, and misconducted while shooting. HTC
