We called it the Greek Ivy and the Peter Conistis-fronted Alpha on Castlereagh Street is living up to its name. Last week its restaurant received a glowing review from Good Food's Terry Durack, but Conistis has greater heights to scale. The development's fine-dining restaurant is proceeding. ''It'll open upstairs before Christmas,'' the chef tells Short Black.
