ETHNIC MUSIC WORKSHOPS Middle Two will enjoy a stunning Chinese workshop with a range of Chinese instruments including highly decorated drums, cymbals and gongs.

Middle One will enjoy a ‘Sounds Rubbish’ workshop involving recycled bins, beaters and buckets. A great session for developing and improving their rhythmic skills. Friday 20 April 7:30pm
WOODWIND CELEBRATION CONCERT The Woodwind Celebration Concert brings together musicians from across the Foundation. There are solos from Florence Lloyd, Anna Turner and Daisy Jones in the Sax Quartet. There is also Chamber Music, the King’s Clarinet Ensemble and a spectacular finale not to be missed!

A SUMMER FESTIVAL CONCERT String players from King’s High and Warwick School perform Benjamin Britten‘s Cantata ‘St Nicholas’ in Coventry Cathedral’s Summer Festival Concert. Coventry Cathedral has a long and storied association with Britten’s music having seen the premiere of his War Requiem. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear his music in a performance space so associated with him, as well as hear Finzi’s God Has Gone Up and James MacMillan’s Gloria.

June JUNIOR PRODUCTION: MERMAID Beneath the ocean’s waves there is no death or pain or separation. Above, the modern world is beset with war, poverty and hardship. On her sixteenth birthday, a mermaid rises up to the surface, leaving her childhood behind forever when she falls in love - but must she destroy herself in order to be loved? Meanwhile, a young girl realises that she too has an important choice to make – take the easy route and follow the crowd or stand up and show the world who she is. Girls from King’s High will bring to life this beautifully poetic story to explore the importance of finding your voice! Tickets: £8 adults and £5 concessions
