Hockey at the beach, NHL Alumni, and US Gold Medal Paralympians skate with servicemembers The Warrior For Life Fund is proud to announce former Boston Bruins Mark Mowers, Dave Jensen and Frank Simonetti will visit Virginia Beach to host youth ice hockey clinics, July 18th-21st, and play in the Commander Brian Michael Bourgeois (USN) Memorial Hockey Game July 23rd at Iceland Family Skating Center in Virginia Beach. Mowers was a forward with the Boston Bruins, Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings, and Anaheim Ducks and is currently a pro scout for the Minnesota Wild. Jensen played with the Hartford Whalers, Washington Capitals, and Boston Bruins Organization, and was also the leading scorer on the 1984 US Olympic hockey team. Simonetti was a four-year defenseman with the Boston Bruins and is currently a Warrior for Life Fund board member. Former Bruins Kevan Miller and Ken Hodge Jr. will also play in the Memorial Hockey Game. In addition to the star-studded lineup are four members of the 2022 Gold Medal US National Sled Hockey Team; Travis Dodson, Rico Roman, Ralph DeQuebec and Joe Woodke. This group will be led by David Hoff, their two-time gold medal winning Head Coach of the US National Sled Team. Coach Hoff and his players will conduct their 2nd Annual clinic for the Warrior For Life Fund® Sled Team before playing an exhibition game at noon, Saturday, July 23rd, with members of the WFLF sled team and Bruins Alumni, who will be fitted with sleds.
