FROM THE DIRECTOR

Seasons greetings!

I hope that this Activity Guide finds you well and you are enjoying the holiday season with your loved ones. The Parks and Recreation team has been hard at work planning for spring. In this guide, you’ll see several new programs, as well as a few revamped programs. E-gaming is a new, trending sport, and we’ve added a Mario Kart Tournament this spring. We anticipate this will be popular and will fill up, so sign up soon! We are also excited to announce that we will be rejoining the Shippy Baseball and Softball League this spring. After several months of talking to parents, sending out surveys, and analyzing the last few seasons, we have decided to play in the Shippy League again. I think this is the best fit for our community and our kids, and they were very gracious to allow us to come back. We will not be focusing on competitive sports, but rather refocusing on being inclusive and providing opportunities for recreational sports. We are looking forward to this upcoming spring and the newness it will bring. As always, my door is open and I’d love to hear from you!
