Digital Project Integration
Digital Project started as an application used internally in Gehry Partners. DP is built on the CATIA Dassault platform and tailored to architectural design. DP now is an architectural design BIM tool commercially distributed by Gehry Technologies. Technologies CATIA already has been adopted by other engineering disciplines such as aerospace and automobile industries. There are many advance characteristics of deploying CATIA system, which include: 1) Full parametric definition User can define and parameterize variables at the detail geometry level as well as parametric relationship among objects and geometry sets. 2) Capable to handle complex shapes 2) Capable to handle complex shapes CATIA and Digital Project are famous for their capability to handle complex and parametric geometry (e.g. NURBS surfaces). It has been greatly used to leverage the fluid‐dynamic in aircraft, shipbuilding and automobile design. 3) Alternative storage method CATIA d Di it l P j t CATIA and Digital Project can store data as either a Part or Product file.
