LANDSCAPE PROJECT

01 - ROAMING INTO THE WATER LANDSCAPES Initiate a touristic desir on a fragile territory The idea of this project on the Medoc territory (West coast of France) is to propose an alternative to seasonal mass tourism on the Atlantic coastline. The aim is to initiate a touristic desir on a fragile territory through the specific potential of water landscape. Through a roaming design, the project enhnaces three different markers within attractive features which symbolizes the reflections of the water landscape. The first place design concerns the valorization of marshes respectful of the ecological qualities and is translated by light tourist facilities, shelters and wildlife observatory for a limited number of visitors. The second main attract point are the abandonned grvel pits. The projects transforms these underestimated places into a small quiet and privat bath area. And the last spot takes into account the risk of submersion. The design meets a need of assisting the potential agricultural mutations and at the same time, a need of taking part in making emerge the agro-touristic desir. This will be express by the establishment of a nursery of alternative agricultural activities integrating a local distribution network ( permaculture, agricultural ecology, mound). These three places, spot which correpond to three landscapes realities of the West coast of France, enable the project to be developped into three complementary strategies, coming into one and only territorial project.

LANDSCAPE PROJECT

02 - LAND’ART AS LANDMARK Telling the lands through the 4 natural elements

The project is an installation of a landmark through the form of a signpost which can intereact with the four natural elements: the water, the land, the fire (the sun) and the air (the wind). This land’art object aims to make the four elements visible. It is working with the wind power, solar polar and the hydrology power. It is working with the wind power, solar polar and the hydrology power. The wind is heart thanks to the small shingles flying and abuting against the structure ; the height of the swamps is maked by the dust, the time flying, is symbolized by the climbing vegetation on the structure, depending on where it is settled in. And finally, the sun helps the structure to light up in the dar the town and guide the boat in the port. This object is not only an artisitic approach, but it also represents an object of mediation for understanding and showing the living environement. Its ecological properties are ampling evidence that useful can be associated to art and aesthetic.

LANDSCAPE PROJECT

03 - THE BIRCH WALK Invest the in-between towns Initially, this abandoned area was a place of transition between two towns. People are just passing on foot or by bicycle. At the edge of the forest, this in-between is tranformed so it will become a meeting spot and a rest area. A vegetalized pergola accompagnies the cyclist, while some exterior furniture punctuate the flowery pedestrian road. The unused garages are convert into a small cafe. The water management are handled according to the topography (salvage of water by a retention pond.) LANDSCAPE PROJECT

04 - SLOW SKI STATION - PFE Accompany the reconvesion of a ski station in case of climate change

What is the probable futur of the ski station from now until 2050 ? Focusing on the village of Laguiole (12), the reflexion is devoted to the futur of its ski station regarding the climate change (global warming) and the general evolution of our current society. What is the futur of ski station which wouldn’t have snow anymore ? How to design, transform the place so it will keep its appealing ? How can we developpe an alternative attraction ? The construction of the project is based on the «Slow Movement» concept, in response to the possible exode of the station. It will seal the links between Laguiole and its station making it more rationnal, practical and adaptative to the situation. Following the example of Carl Honore and Pierre Sansot, the concept is opened to a come back to a thoughtful slowness. It is not a question of slowing down but a matter of deliberate come back to a quite simplicity. The strategy is built on a system of conservation, recycling and restoration for a valorisation of a mountain territory. The local approach will lead and bring the public, the tourists to take the time. Take the time, whenever the season for exchange, spend time with their family, rest, observe, feel, share, meditate...

ARCHITECTURE PROJECT

05 - FOLDING FIELD - PFE Children’s recreation center

At the bottom of a montain, on a ski station site, what if children can come to camp or spend their holidays in front of the ski run, down in the forest ? This structure is used as accommodation, recreation center but also can be used by the local classes for educational terms about nature and environment. The structure is settled on three different states with various angles so each room will have its own relation with the view on the landscape. The folded two sided sloping roof plays with the heights and the bends exposing various interior atmosphere and relation with the light. Inside, the space, the corridors, the in-between area are shrieking, bending so the interior design would always be a playground, a promenade as much as a real place of living.

06 - VEGETAL TRANSPARENCY Take over the contiguity as a dynamic for social housing

Collective housing in Frontignan (34) Split into two parts, the in-between space is used for vertical circulation, entrance loggia, and neighbors meeting point. The vegetal transparency invides the exterior corridor and the balconies as asolar protection, light filter and an open outlook. The appartments volumes are, like a pilling of boxes, setting back or overhanging, which create a space alternaly empty or full. Each appartment has its own view on the landscape and a private balcony or terrasse.

07 - MINECRAFT SCHOOL Rehabilitation and transformation of an old Soviet building Work at AEXN Studio (Architecture agency) Conception and drawings for a rehabilitation of an ex soviet school building to an Art School. (Lithuania) The first step is the renovation of the main structure in concrte and the realization of an extension (exhibition room). The wood furniture are design with an idea of ÂŤminecraftÂť so people, children can move it really simply thanks to the wheels or the system of sliding of the interior partition. The interior is revised with the new lithuanian standards (solar protection, footbridge). The exterior, initially a concrete spreading is transformed into a small park for exhibition and recreation area.
