and we wanted to be a big part of that,” Blankenstein says. Just south of ME, the city has dedicated a million-dollar adult fitness centre and children’s water park, and the neighbourhood already boasts a large community centre. A new retail component will also help get people out and walking, as well as supporting new businesses right in the neighbourhood. “People who buy today are investing in their belief that the area is going to significantly appreciate in value,” Blankenstein says. Lash’s proven track record is a great indication that they’re right!

“ People who buy today are investing in their belief that the area is going to significantly appreciate in value,” Blankenstein says. Lash’s proven track record is a great indication that they’re right! Another Lash community under construction is in the west end and is similarly at the forefront of a revitalization, Cloud9 at Kipling Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard in Etobicoke. “It’s an area that has a lot going for it,” Blankenstein says. “It’s very close to the airport, has quick access to Mississauga, Brampton, has great public transit, and it’s close to downtown Toronto, too. But it’s been 30 years since there was any new major revitalization in this neighbourhood. There are wonderful walking trails on the Humber River right behind the building, Woodbine Centre is close by — residents love it, and with good reason. We think our Cloud9 development will encourage new growth and will become the next hot area. Blankenstein says Cloud9 and ME offer “416 locations with 905 pricing.” Suites at Cloud9 start in the low $200s. The value is clear, and with suite sizes that will accommodate a variety of singles, couples and family buyers, there is going to be upward pressure on prices in these neighbourhoods as the revitalization really takes off. Another area in which Lash was instrumental in making a major impact is in the Bathurst and St. Clair corridor, where they, in partnership with the Goldman Group, are in the process of launching the third phase of their popular condominium community, which started with 500 and 530 St. Clair. Yonge and Eglinton is another intersection seeing renewal, and Lash’s upcoming project will be a special addition to that area in the near future. He notes that there has never been a better time to buy a condo, with interest rates at their lowest practically since Lash was founded almost 60 years ago, amenities having evolved to expand living space exponentially, and an abundance of great Lash options to choose from. “The condo market is still very strong,” Blankenstein says. “We’re proud to be helping people find the right home, whether it is the right location or affordability. It’s the most rewarding part of what we do.” “ME Living is an example of how people can get into the market at an affordable price and enjoy all the lifestyle luxuries of party rooms, fitness rooms, rooftop lounges, pools – anyone who’s been hesitating about making the leap to home ownership would be wise to get off the fence and put down some roots.”
