VANCOUVER’S MARRIMOR LAUNCHES TOOF AND TOSS Although local designers Lauren Bugliarisi and Tanja Hinder of Marrimor had been planning on launching their useful-yet-whimsical product line at The International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City this year, for obvious reasons they decided to do a digital launch instead. The new collection features the distinctive stool and table combination, the Toof, in many stylish colour combinations, along with a series of Toss pillows, defined by the company’s motto: “Nice Things for Nonconformists”. They are available at marrimor.com.

Voyce Chinese Valentines Day People all over have been cutting and displaying heart-shaped paper art to pay tribute to healthcare professionals and foster a sense of community in a time of social distancing. In this spirit, Forefield, developer of Voyce townhomes, invited local artist Bryann Staples to create the Wall of Love just outside of the King Edward SkyTrain Station. as usual in this most unusual climate. This site was also the backdrop of a flash mob that happened on Tuesday, August 25 to celebrate Chinese Valentine’s Day. Forefield reached out to another local artist Wendy Williams, famous for her conceptual art Big Love Ball, to fill the venue with love-themed balloons. Love was in the air indeed!
