Une Visite en Paris et Ritz Planning my trip to Paris

Pour commencer Where is France? France is a country in Europe.

It’s capital city is Paris.

It’s

area covers 11,035,000 km2, being the second largest country in Europe, just behind that of the United States (11,351,000 km2). France’s latitude is between 41o and 51o and longitude is between 6oW and 10oE. How do you get there? I am going from Melbourne to Singapore and then Singapore to France with Singapore Airlines. staying there for 6 months.

I will be landing in Paris and

I will be coming back to Australia

again with Singapore Airlines How long does it take? Direct from Australia to Paris would take about 15 hours but, because fuel on a plane won’t be able to take you that far, it

would take around 24 hours as you would have to stop around halfway so the airline can restock food and fuel. When are you going? I would go to Paris for Autumn and Winter.

This would be

September, October, November, December, January and then leaving after February. Likely weather and temperature? Autumn is made by light showers, as increasing rainfall starting in late August, marches us into the colder season. Temperatures in the 15° and 20° C range are most common. Although it often snows in the winter, heavy snow is not a mainstay of Paris weather.

Clean white snow powdering the

streets and leafless trees can definitely add to the timeless beauty of Paris.

Averaging on 6oC

In winter it can get below freezing point.

A Paris Eiffel Tower Paris just wouldn't be Paris without the Eiffel Tower. By 1889, the 300 meter (984 feet) tower, was then the world's tallest building.

Notre Dame Climbing the 387 steps to the top of this masterpiece is well worth the effort for the spectacular view. The cathedral is busy at the best of

times, especially on Sundays, when much of the building is closed to visitors.

Arc De Triomphe The arch is a site of memories, current events and celebrations. Standing under it is nice, and you see the cars driving around you. This is a truly impressive landmark is 50 meters high and 45 meters wide.

A vous Ritz Hotel, Paris During all of this, I will be staying at the Ritz Hotel in Paris.

“The Ritz is my home”, Coco Chanel. Exquisite and serene, the Coco Chanel Suite is unique. The elegance and the femininity of the suite is heightened by its breathtaking view onto the Place Vendôme. Amidst the boisterous affairs of parisian High Society in the Roaring Twenties, the famous designer made this suite her home. To this day, Coromandel laquerware, rock crystals and large mirrors pay tribute to Mademoiselle Chanel’s personal taste and elegance.
