Page 83

This page: The designer created a custom island with a double thickness of granite on the countertop for added luxe and a bowed front to create interest and facilitate conversation. The kitchen’s original pendants and sconces were restored and reinstalled. Opposite page, top: The kitchen’s original yellow cabinetry was painted white in keeping with the home’s light-and-bright palette and reconfigured to accommodate additional cabinets. Opposite page, bottom: The gray ceramic tiles on the backsplash add a subtle counterpoint to white cabinets and countertops. For ease of use, both faucets are touchless.
