MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT

Brasserie de Novo 37 Chestnut St., Ridgewood, 201.444.4910 A trip to the Mediterranean might not be on your travel agenda, but you can always treat yourself to an authentic dining experience of that region at Brasserie de Novo. Formerly known as Novo, the Ridgewood spot has been taken over by the owners of the FrenchAmerican restaurant Brasserie in Tenafly. The revamped menu selections are influenced by the cultures of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East (the Israeli chicken schnitzel and Moroccan spiced duck confit are still on the menu and must-try entrees!), and each dish features fresh, locally grown ingredients. Remember to bring your own bottle of wine to dinner, or stop by in the afternoon for brunch or lunch.
