WAIMAK UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB MEN’S CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE VS CHRISTCHURCH UNITED 2.30PM KICK OFF KENDALL PARK

Coaches Comments Last Saturday we played Burwood at Kendall park, after some positive results recently we were looking to keep the momentum going and continue our late season rise up the table. The game started well for Waimak and in particular Nikita Potapov who had grabbed a brace before half time to help Waimak take a deserved 2 – 0 lead in to the break. The second half lost a little bit of the intensity but with second half goals to Chris Chick and Adam Harrison the boys finished the game comfortable 4 – 2 winners. Unfortunately Waimak’s goalkeeper was accidently kicked in the hand late in the game resulting with a trip to the hospital, x-rays have confirmed a broken bone in the hand, we all wish Kyle a speedy recovery and hope to see him down supporting the boys for the remainder of the season. This Saturday we play Christchurch United at Kendall park 2.30pm kick off, these games are always tense and hard fought. It would be great to see plenty of supporters at the ground Saturday to help the boys get another 3 points!
