PastProjectRecap

At the Cali-Nev-Ha District Convention 2023: Sea of Service, we were able to participate in a variety of ativities and meet members across the three states!

On Day 1, we registered and had a Meet & Greet with the district candidates, followed by a Region Session with Regions 17 & 18! On Day 2, Marli and Kaia served as our club delegates in district elections, and we participated in the Kiwanis Family and Service Project Expo! The day finished with an awards ceremony, where we won various distinctions, including our very own Mrs. Sato winning Advisor of the Year and Jack Luther Hall of Fame! On Day 3 we say our district board retire and spent the rest of the day exploring Ontario, California! It was an extremely memorable and fun trip!

On Saturday, May 6th, our club helped with Astro Day. Members helped vendors set-up their booths and put up signs around the mall to advertise the event. Once the actual event started, members were stationed around the mall to assist any vendors that may have needed extra help or give directions to visitors. There was also a break room that provided food and drinks for volunteers. Members also had an opportunity to learn about the booths, receive free goodies, and shop around the mall. This project was successful as members were able to enjoy themselves while helping others out!

Our club helped clean up the Waiakea High School gymnasium after the Senior Awards Took place in the evening of May 9, 2023. We put the masonite away, broke down the backdrop, swept the floors, and cleaned the bleachers. We did this because SGA asked our club to help with set up as well as cleanup. No materials were needed for this project because all the supplies were already in the gym. Overall, the project was successful because our club was able to give back to the school by helping the Seniors make their awards night a momentous success. Therefore, if requested by SGA next year, we should do the project again.
