Never Knock Your Own Town Never knock your own town — Wherever you may roam Keep in mind the slogan “There’s no place like home.” Never slam your own town No matter where nor how. It isn’t the place you were born that counts It’s where you are living now. You partly own your own town, You help to pay the bills; And knocking a thing you partly own Will not cure many ills. Always boost your own town, Make that a solemn vow. It isn’t the place you were born that counts It’s where you are living now. Your own town isn’t the only town That has a fault or two; And some of the faults of your own town May perhaps be due to you. The spot to boost is your own town — The town where you earn your chow. It isn’t the place you were born that counts It’s where you are living now.
