It is not a program, but a collaboration, strategy, framework, tool, initiative, and set of concepts to help individuals better understand poverty and individuals in poverty. Bridges Out of Poverty helps communities:  Move individuals from poverty to self-sufficiency.  Reduce social costs related to crime, poor health, and welfare.  Strengthen education attainment and job skills.  Enhance economic development.  Improve on-the-job productivity.  Revitalize neighbourhoods.  Build sustainable communities where everyone can live well.
