Western Digital refreshed the 150GB and 300GB VelociRaptor models with support for SATA 6Gbps and 32MB of cache. This addition makes up a total of six VelociRaptor models which are available in SATA 6Gbps interface and eight models having 32MB cache (refer to table below for more information). The 150GB VelociRaptor model is reported to be retailing for â‚Ź120 (S$208) while the 300GB version is going for â‚Ź144 (S$250). See more specifications from the Western Digital website.

Of course, with a hint as broad as this, guessing the right answer is definitely not going to be easy, although Engadget has speculated that RIM might be planning to release a BlackBerry Torch 2, or even a Bold Touch, which has been touted to be a "phone of many flavors". Then again, it is also entirely possible that RIM might end up announcing some other unheard-of product that will apparently be optimized for use with popular online social networking services, considering how the company did mention that the new product will be 'social' in nature. Well, the bad news is that such a hack actually does exist, and it is none other than security researcher Charlie Miller who discovered the existence of such a vulnerability which could potentially allow hackers to exploit and completely destroy a Macbook's battery on a hardware level by exploiting the aforementioned vulnerability.

Previously, only the 450GB and 600GB VelociRaptor models featured SATA 6Gbps support and 32MB of cache. Now, the 150GB and 300GB variants will also be available with the above features too. Dealing with exploding batteries on notebooks can be a rather frightening affair, no? Well, if the thought of having a notebook battery pack suddenly go up in clouds of flames right before your face sounds like the thing which will give you nightmares for countless nights on end, this latest piece of news is definitely not going to be for the weak-hearted. Apparently, a security researcher by the name of Charlie Miller has discovered a hardware vulnerability in Apple's notebook batteries which could potentially allow hackers to remotely gain access to the batteries and rig it to catch fire without any warning. Sounds ridiculous? Well, not exactly, especially if Miller's explanation of how the hack works is of any indication. Apparently, the problem lies in the fact that modern laptops 13
