Letter from the editor ‘Stanley Steamer’- Paul MacLeod By now you’ve probably learned that our Jill of all trades, Care, has made the decision to step back as Editor-in-Chief to focus on, oh, just a few small roles: Publisher of VR, president of I.R.I.S. Entertainment, host of the Indie Rock Invasion Show, host of I On Music, loving mother and wife, and, really? Need I go on? Now add to the roster the role of the omniscient cool head to my oftentimes chaotic nature, and you’ve got yourselves a lady with her hands full.
Selfishly, I’m tickled pink about the decision. Where else was I going to find someone who would take me in based on gut instinct and then say, “Go ahead; my job now is to pay for your creative vision.” Umm...excuse me? A few arm pinches and head shakes later, and here we are. What an amazing time of year to take this on, too! Looking ahead, we’ve got everything from NXNE and the Cambridge Arts Festival to the Guelph Punk Festival, Skydiggers, Koi Music Fest and Hillside (not to mention a local visit from one of the dopest dudes around - hint: it rhymes with Shmenry Pollins).

So let’s start this season off right, with a little summertime tunage and a patio guide to the best places in the tri-cities and Guelph to park yourself in the sun with a spicy Caesar in hand. Happy reading!
