Melbourne Sunsets
By Angelo
Welcome
You may have noticed an exceptional period of glorious sunsets through late Autumn and early Winter this year.
Unlike 2022 - where sunsets in the southern hemisphere were brightened up by the Tongan volcanic eruption throwing particulates into the upper atmosphere - this year’s sunsets were purely a manifestation of a period of particularly stable weather conditions. Evenings were clear or had just the right amount of middle and upper level cloud.
Rather than the gloomy low level clouds that tend to dampen colour over the Melbourne skyline, upper and middle level clouds tend to bring about the lovely hues of orange and purple that we love so much.

A man has been charged with arson for a fire that destroyed the ATET floating nightclub in Melbourne's Docklands on January 31, 2023 While the disco ball and main bar survived, most of the furniture and the plastic roofing were severely damaged Detectives believe it was a paid job The 32-year-old man from Lalor was also charged with possessing methylamphetamine and was previously arrested in April 2024 and is set to appear in court on August 19.
Jake Hughes, the nightclub's owner, spent 6 years transforming a barge into the venue, inspired by European nightclub boats. With a record number of noise complaints from nearby residents, Melbourne City Council revoked ATET's license 6 months after the fire. ATET claims this termination was unlawful and has filed legal proceedings against the council and Development Victoria (DV) in the Supreme Court

My favourite food is... whatever is on mummy’s plate, or anything resembling chicken Fun Fact: I named myself. After being adopted, I needed a new name.
