What is the major breakthrough that UKVI have made for Indonesian applicants? Starting 2018, something very special happened which is a change in the UK immigration rules. For Indonesian students, they can apply for the visa from Indonesia or any other country in the world as long as they are Indonesian nationals. They don’t need to submit a full set of documents. All they need to submit is just a CAS letter, which stands for Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies, that you will receive from your university. They will give it to you once you confirmed placement in the course. The second one is only your passport. That’s very easy. What are the social media initiatives the UKVI have created and how do they impact the Study-in-UK promotion? We have made a couple of social media initiatives. If you have been looking at our Instagram feed or Facebook feed recently, we have been interviewing couples of Indonesians who were still in the UK right now pursuing their education, what it was like for them apply for their visa and you will see it’s not that difficult as you think. It’s just a matter of doing correctly in the first place and applying very early in time which will help with you to get it quicker. And when it comes to the role of social media in terms of promoting about UK student visa, our Indonesian official Instagram account has a huge follower and it’s very big, number one across embassies here in Indonesia. That means we have a lot of influence and a lot of students would like to know about UK culture and we want to encourage those who doesn't have much interest in the UK, to not only visit but also study in the UK.

UK is one of Vooya’s most popular experiential study tour destinations because we understand well that UK provide so many exposures in terms of education and even career preferences. What is your opinion about this? Is there anything we could do to give more impactful learning experience to Indonesian students? I’ve been following Vooya for a couple of years now, and I am delighted to see your growth. And now you’re focusing beyond your experiential study tour into higher education services, if I understand correctly, to your students. That means a lot more people will be able to gain the benefits of what living and learning in the UK is like. I think student sometimes need partners to help them grow through their options, for studying or educational trip in the UK. I think you are a good partner to help them in their initial exploration towards the destination.
