Iron Ore - 49 million tons; Apatite - 4,5 million tons; Phlogopite - 5 thousand tons; Vermiculite - 300 thousand tons; Rare Earth Metals - 160 thousand tons; Nickel - 44 thousand tons; Copper- 18 thousand tons; Cobalt - 1,5 thousand tons; Platinum group metals - 700 kilograms; Freestone - 1 million m3; Sand - 1 million m3.

 OJSC “Kolskaya Ore Mining Company” till 2030;  OJSC “Apatite” till 2050;

 OJSC “Olenegorsky Mining and Processing Plant” till 2030;  OJSC “Kovdorsky Mining and Processing Plant” till 2060.

New Mining Industry Companies of the Murmansk Region “Oleny Ruchey Mining and Processing Plant” (CJSC ”NWPC”, “Akron Plus”)

The project is at its completion stage.

There are more than 1500 people constructing the plant.

Estimated volume of apatite-nepheline deposit is 31 million tons. 6


New Mining Industry Companies of the Murmansk Region Fedorovo-Pansky Deposit Subsurface User: CJSC “Fedorovo Resources” (“Barrick Gold”, Canada). Geological exploration and extraction till 2021 (25 years). Surface mining. 2 opencast mines. 750 million tons of mined rock, 260 million tons of ore. Construction investments ~ 40 billion rubles (1,5 billion rubles disbursed)

Mineral Resource Base Development 1 - extraction of new for the region hydrocarbons; 2 - use of technogenic and unconventional deposits; 3 - intensification of raw materials processing; 4 - plants renovation and modernization; 5 - innovative technologies and new products.

Development Prospects of Mineral Resource Base The most promising fields of the mineral resource base development are following:

1 - development of rare earth metals deposits; 2 - development of platinum raw material base; 3 - development of aluminium raw material base.
