The Spirit of the Lord is upon us! At the end of each Prayer School

in the individual cities, we “closed off “ with an “anointing or impartation meeting”, laying hands on everyone present ... one by one. This could amount to thousands like the 2,200 in Jayapura. Tremendous impact followed, some got healed, others suddenly filled with the Holy Spirit, oth-

ers simply picked up the burden of prayer afresh for their city and area. Powerful men taught with me, people like Pak Daniel Pandji (leader of the prayer movement of Indonesia), Evangelist Pak Robinson Nainggolan, Pak Sofjan Sutedja, Dr. Tandi Randa (the Principle of the Baptist seminary

in Manokwari), to name a few, training God’s people to stand in the gap and possess the land spiritually with passionate prayer and fasting, strongly motivating the people to “adopt” at least two different tribes in prayer for one year!

A new wave is coming!

The stars were still shining in the sky, when hundreds of voices virtually “woke up the dawn” with their fervent prayers at the 4:30am prayer meeting! A custom adopted by the people during our previous evangelistic outreaches, 4am prayer continued during our Prayer Schools in all four cities where they were conducted in Papua, Indonesia. “Early prayer” was not something new in Papua, but the “Prayer Schools” were!

“Train the people in Papua into more directed prayer and intercession”. I knew The command was clear!

“a new wave is coming”! These Prayer Schools were part of that prophetic word given to Indonesia by different prophets. This was also the motto of the “World Prayer Assembly” (WPA) that took place just two weeks before the Prayer Schools in Papua. It was wonderful to see how God’s “Prayer Leaders” came together in

Jakarta with 5,000 attendees from 70 Nations across the globe with one purpose, to pray! Surely when 120,000 people raise their voices in worship and prayer then all heaven rejoices and hell trembles, as we have witnessed at the closing meeting of the WPA in the stadium in Jakarta.

Raise up a prayer army

the only way I could do that was with our “Voice in the City Prayer School” concept, using the “work book” translated in their language so they can learn, take notes and go and teach their own people again and again! From all over Papua people came, traveling sometimes for days on a ferry or bus to attend! Over 7,000 attendees registered within the 4 cities, hundreds of them leaders and pastors of other cities and regions, coming to learn and then return to start prayer initiatives in their area.

Paumako forgotten by the world … Although we could not go to Kwamki Narama, God opened another door in an

even greater needy area. We could suddenly have a one day outreach amongst people “forgotten” by the world but not by Heaven in Paumako. Oh God, help us to fulfil the great commission- “Go ye into all the world…”

Earthquakes and Arrows! The “earthquake warning” sirens rung in my ears on the 4th floor of the hotel, people running out of the building in fear! No way was I able to move that fast down the stairs with my injured leg to get out of the building. So I waited, when suddenly a 6.2 (on the Richter scale) earthquake rocked Manokwari where we held our Prayer School during that time. I simply closed my eyes as the furniture swayed. If that was the day I met my Saviour so be it, and if not then I simply get on with the work of the Lord that we were called to do. None of us got injured and we are still working for God!

Tribal war arrows flying! All was set for the Kwamki Narama evangelistic outreach af-

ter the 4th Prayer School in Timika, when suddenly tribal war broke out. Arrows flew, people were killed, cars burned and the outreach was cancelled. Not satisfied with the situation, I asked to personally “speak” to the two tribes. Miraculously God opened for me the way to do just that. With police escort I visited both tribes, witnessing conditions that make me fall on my face all the more in prayer for Papua.
