Richie Hawtin on the beach Get ready to dance on the lighthouse beach

L

ights at sea and great music are on their way on Sunday 4th August! The lighthouse beach will host one of the most eagerly awaited events of summer 2013: Superstar DJ with Richie Hawtin, the Canadian DJ who is driving the world of electronic music crazy. Hawtin began going to clubs in Detroit at a very early age and started working in the nightclub world aged 17. Over the years he has appeared in public under various pseudonyms: the most famous is undoubtedly Plastikman, as he was called for his first releases, but also F.U.S.E., Concept 1, Circuit Breaker, The Hard Brothers, Hard Trax, Jack Master and UP! Since 1993 the artist has produced various studio albums but his live performances, in which all the features of his extremely special brand of music emerge, are the most exciting. The Jesolo beach DJ set is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Richie Hawtin’s electro sounds, dancing deep into the night on the sand, by the light of the moon. The event starts at 5 pm with live support by Gaiser. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketone.it – from 33 euro + booking fee – or at www.mailticket.it. They can also be purchased directly on the door from 2 pm on the day of the event. Info: +39 393 4101120 or +39 393 9353880.

Jesolo, an ethical beach

J

esolo, an ethical beach, i.e. one that is accessible to everyone including the differently-abled, who can reach the sand and swim thanks to Job Chairs, special designed chairs for those with movement difficulties. Those who use them can not only move around on the beach, but also enter the water and return to the shore in order to stimulate thermoregulation, thus obtaining the important physical benefits that do not occur naturally in people with spinal injuries. In recent weeks Jesolo Tourism, the company responsible for lifeguard and beach services, took delivery on the Oro Beach concession of 10 Job Chairs, which joined the 23 already present on the beach. The donation was part of the project promoted by the Terra d’Acqua Foundation, which collected around 24,000 euro in 2012 from donations by guests paying their hotel bills. As well as the chairs, 4 defibrillators were donated to join 5 donated last year for Jesolo Tourism watch towers, in order to make the beach even safer. luglio 2013 | VIVIJESOLO
