Nassau County's 9/11 Memorial
The memorial is alongside the lake in Eisenhower Park in NY city, designed by architects Keith Striga and Phil Gavosto, built with help from many volunteers.The two 9 m, semitransparent, stainless-steel towers,were open for public on the sixth anniversary of the attack in 2006, stands amidst a fountain alongside the park's lake. There also are two pieces of steel several feet long from the WTC and a long stone wall bears the names of the 344 Nassau County residents victims.


The memorial of Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii,is designed by architect Ben Lee, the memorial features , three-sided obelisk with vertical gray strips set in the front of the black tower, representing the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Stainless-steel triangles at the top form the backdrop for the gas-fed "eternal flame." The obelisk's triangular cross section represents a folded flag.
