“Sometimes it's hopping in the canoe with my husband for a backwaters paddle on the Mississippi (complete with an Island City Brew in the boat); it's a meander through downtown for pop-up artist exhibits on Third Thursdays ending with frozen treats at Nate & Ally's. It's a winter evening snowshoe ending at Ed's No Name Bar with one of our favorite regional bands hitting the stage. It's dinner at The Boat House followed up with an enthralling performance at Great River Shakespeare Festival. We love that we can do all these things within minutes of getting off work at the end of the day, or by simply hopping on our bikes. Do we brag about how much we love our date nights? Yes. Is it warranted? Absolutely.�
