R

aleigh is a blossoming Southern metropolis and a welcoming destination for conventions, meetings and other events. The urban revival that accompanied the 2008 development of a new convention campus in downtown Raleigh is still going strong; this revitalizing energy is something that your meeting attendees will feel. Our smart and savvy locals head top-tier technology, education and life science institutions; our artists create a bevy of cultural and culinary touchstones; and our storytellers proudly carry on the collective heritage of a rich, historic capital city.

Dennis Edwards President and CEO Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau

Groups can invigorate their senses by sampling the many flavors of cuttingedge Southern cuisine enhanced by artisan craft brews and spirits. They’ll get their toes tapping to the sounds of emerging music and bands, as well as rollicking bluegrass festivals and more. They will discover gifts and treasures from local boutiques, including many handmade and custom designs by local makers, and can broaden their horizons through an array of visual and performing arts exhibitions…and all of this conceived and created by the bright minds of area residents and enjoyed now by 15+ million visitors each year. If you are meeting in downtown Raleigh, you’ll see our Silver LEED-Certified Raleigh Convention Center, a catalyst for downtown’s renaissance. Connected to it via interior walkways, the full-service Raleigh Marriott City Center joins the adjacent Sheraton Raleigh Hotel and nearby Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown in providing top-notch accommodations. Just outside these hotels’ lobbies, City Plaza is an outdoor gathering place that’s a hub for socialization amid public artwork and food kiosks. Also nearby, the 6,000-seat Red Hat Amphitheater puts a larger, open-air festival site right in downtown Raleigh’s convention campus and complements the indoor venues of the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. RDU International Airport has been totally redeveloped and modernized in recent years: it has become our nation’s best-connected medium-sized airport. RDU’s two terminals consistently exceed air travelers’ expectations for services and amenities while efficiently accommodating 11+million passengers each year, including international visitors arriving year-round from London, Paris, San Juan and Toronto. Whether you choose Raleigh, the town of Cary or the surrounding area for your stay, we believe you’ll find an area shaped by the passionate minds of its residents, with undiscovered, enriching experiences to offer everyone. Our award-winning sales and services teams understand that every client deserves a true destination partnership, and we strive to connect you with every local resource that we have available—whether it’s our product or our people—to enhance your attendees’ experience and ensure the success of the meetings you host here.

Sincerely,

Dennis Edwards President and CEO Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau

Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown National Animal Supplement Council The Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown’s 2017 renovations also include updates to the lobby, restaurant and connectivity center.

Our restaurant concept, 88 Oaks Carolina Kitchen and Bar, is a locally themed restaurant that will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails daily. We will add a fireplace in the cocktail lounge area for guests to cozy up and enjoy a drink in the evenings. We also have on site a Coffee Shop that proudly brews Starbucks Coffee and will add a line of hot grab and go food items. In room dining is also available on site for guests that do not want to leave the comfort of their own guest rooms.

A food and beverage minimum will be established at the contract stage. The minimum food and beverage requirement is generated from meeting space held out of hotel inventory. That number is based on attendance projected to the hotel by the organization.

Enclosed are our banquet menus for your review. Please note that you are not limited to these choices as our Catering Event Staff will be happy to help you with special menu planning and creative themed events.
