Wrestling has always been a constant in my life, and now in my young son’s life, as well. I love creating memories for the kids who come to the matches, and I love giving families the chance to be together and escape the everyday grind of real life for a few hours of entertainment that’s family-friendly.

Naturally, to make it in that world, you have to have some professional experience in the back pocket of your spandex shorts. You have to have the muscle to back it up, and Mayweather certainly has that, having competed in over a 1,000 wrestling matches over the past ten years he’s been in the ring. He’s won more than he’s lost; and as the holder of titles including TNA World Tag Team Champion, OVW Heavyweight Champion, OVW Southern Tag Team Champion, and NWA Mid American Television Champion, he has reason to be proud. When he’s not in the ring himself, he heads up Tried-N-True, a promotions company that organizes, promotes, and runs live professional wrestling events in addition to maintaining a digital content library of their events and a website featuring merchandise. “The live professional wrestling events we host in Clarksville and the surrounding areas are similar to what you would see on TV when you watch WWE,” he explains. “I bring in top pro wrestling stars and legends from around the world, and I’m proud to say that our events have had such stars as Jeff Hardy, Road Warrior Animal, and Jeff Jarrett as well as attendance by celebrities including actor David Arquette and the Smashing Pumpkins’ lead singer, Billy Corgan.” As everyone knows, filling the ring is only part of the equation. It’s also critical to bring in the crowds, and Mayweather clearly has skills in doing so. For him, it’s a way to continue the craft, to present it to audiences and create memories that will last a lifetime as well as inspiring a whole new generation of wrestlers to pursue new dreams of their own.

"Wrestling has always been a constant in my life, and now in my young son’s life, as well. I love creating memories for the kids who come to the matches, and I love giving families the chance to be together and escape the everyday grind of real life for a few hours of entertainment that’s family-friendly.” Naysayers might say that it’s all a show; and while there’s some element of truth in that, Mayweather would offer this: “Professional wrestling in 2019 is a lot different than many remember it being in the past. It features a high level of athleticism and storytelling within the matches; and in my opinion, it's the greatest form of entertainment.” At Tried-N-True, it’s not all about entertainment, however, as Mayweather uses it as a platform for community outreach, as well, dedicating a portion of his profits from each event to local charities. In addition, Mayweather also makes regular appearances at various community events and stays highly involved in as many ways as he can. Clearly, “Crimson” Mayweather knows how to win—and he’s committed to making his community win, as well.
