VIP EVENT | Hot Rods & Harleys Story + Photography by Tony Centonze The annual Hot Rods & Harleys event was held on August 26, 2017. “We did a reveal of the 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycles,” said Glen Appleton. “This has been one of the biggest product launches in he history of the company. We have an all new Softail line, and we’re out here with our customer, just having fun with the new bikes.” The car show filled the front lot of Appleton’s shop and motorcycles lined the side and back lots. Hundreds enjoyed refreshments and live music while admiring the impressive display and voting for their favorites. Appleton said his team was impressed with the turnout and variety at this year’s show. “People brought out antique cars and trucks, stock, and custom-built motorcycles,” said Appleton. “There are lots of Corvettes, Mustangs, rat rods and race cars. It’s a great chance for everyone to get together and enjoy the day.”

This event takes place every year. It is a warm-up for October’s Motorcycle Mayhem, the Buddy & Glen Appleton Memorial Poker Run. Appleton called attention to the upcoming Loretta Lynn’s Ride for Mission 22. This will be a music revival and gathering of Tennessee Motorcycles on Sunday, October 1.
