Remember when..

Remember the flavours, smells and the thousand and one uses these jars had? Who still has one or two of them?
From the chair…

January is behind us once again and the weather hasn’t been kind for motoring out this past week with wind and rain. We did enjoy the couple of weeks of hot sunshine!
Our annual picnic was a day of clear skies and warm temps, thanks again Ruth, for sharing your private cove with us.

At the Special meeting in Dec, we passed the Clubs constitution which was sent off to the Incorporated Societies for registration, no word back as yet from them.
This was followed by our Xmas Pot Luck dinner.

Jan. 4th saw several members show their cars at the Taipa Show & Shine event.

The next club meeting is 14th Feb.
It was decided at an earlier meeting that there would be no meeting or events for March, as there will be too many members absent attending the Vero International Rally in Nelson.

Happy motoring for the New Year.
Tom

Northern Captain’s Catch up. Welcome to

as we look forward to another busy year.
We hope you are all fit and well and ready to enjoy the many motoring ventures ahead.
We finished 2025 with another lovely pot luck Xmas dinner preceded by a special meeting and the monthly Dec meeting.

How nice it is to drive up to our club rooms to a freshly cleaned and painted entrance.

We began the year with a great turn out for our picnic at Ruth Reid’s awesome beach cove, 23 members and 2 visitors, maybe new members?
The weather was kind & the sea flat, which enabled many of us to enjoy the warm(?) water.
Thanks to all those that contributed to this occasion.

Next stop…
Murray and Chris Squire’s February Captain’s rally on the 21st. Mark this date on/in your calendar’s please.
Steve is to represent the club in Christchurch for the annual Executive meeting which is a week before the Nelson rally, then he and Steph will be joining us in Nelson for the rally.
And then it will be a ‘migration’ south for 7 couples from our club heading for the Vero International Rally in Nelson - a big trek for us all.
Remember too - if you have any interesting places or spots about the Far North that you’d like to share for mid-week ventures, we’re all interested!
Due to there not being enough time for our camping weekend planned for February, we will leave this for another time.
Marg D.
Omnium gatherum…

Wishing you all the best 2026 can bring your way.
Remember to reach out to members of the club if you need a second pair of hands, a chat, support in anyway, mechanical knowledge- we have plenty of that to share or a seat for rally drive.
Someone will help out.
