Membership. Has remained static, although it is foreseen present membership numbers could possibly decline. Our Branch has recorded a decline. 60 year Membership Certificate. A 60 year badge is to be struck to be included for presentation with the framed certificate. National Events. Management Committee expressed concern of the lack of bids for North and South Island events, and especially the National Easter Rallies. Is there an increasing reluctance of Branches to organise these annual events? An idea to trial alternating the event annually between the North and South Island will be trialled .over next two years N I Club Captain organising a N I Tour first quarter of 2019 Management Committee. There was no election to any management committee positions, with all current members re-elected, although one committee position has become vacant with David York being unable to accept nomination for a further term on the management committee because of other commitments. The possibility of co-opting a member will be an option our National President will pursue. Management Committee to consider an update of V.C.C. promotional material/pamphlet to be placed in the public domain to promote new membership. P80V Category Remits: [interpretation of 30 year rule]. Motion #1 For 726 votes, Against 506 votes – lost as failed to reach 75% threshold. Motion #2 For 1192 votes, Against 160 votes – successful. [88% of the vote]. Rewrite of Branch Constitutions. A template was given to all Branch Delegates for further discussion etc among the Branches. Discussion around possible constitutional changes to our Branch Constitution will now need to take place. Currently our National Sec / Treasurer will comment and/or vet proposed changes. A Draft of a Code of Conduct for the V.C.C. was also presented to the meeting [Tony Bartlett], to be assessed by the Branches. Rod Brayshaw, our Club Registrar, gave a very comprehensive report covering V.I.C.; Vehicle I.D. Applications [largest growth category P60V, (68 since March)]; the idea of a NATIONAL VINTAGE RALLY before the 2021 International; LVVTA – 3379 Modification Plates issued during first six months of 2018; Asbestos in vehicles going to Australia; A Committee to evaluate and progress Historic Vehicles use within the EV [Electric Vehicle] environment in N.Z.
