July Newsletter 2017 Just 15 members came along for the AGM this year. Stuart Milne gave a big thanks to all members for their support to the Club throughout the year. Card convenor Stuart Milne, Cecile Jenks (financial Reviewer) The Branch Levy is to remain at $25.00 Bill & Gaynor Falconer special thanks for organising the Wednesday Runs. A Committee meeting was held on a very chilly night with snow about. Thank you to Robin McCall for agreeing to be the Chairman for the coming year. Stuart Milne will be the Convenor of the Clutha Rally in November with the assistance of Club members please. An assistant would be a great help – is there someone who can volunteer for this? Club Captain – An appeal to the members for someone to take this position as it is vital there is a person who can liaise with the members and co-ordinate events. National Day – Saturday 27th August 2017. Thoughts were to combine with Otago but this has not eventuated. Details will be discussed at the July monthly meeting, possibly dedicating a Wednesday Run as the Club fundraiser Wednesday Run Report: Another cold wet day. Members left from the Clubrooms meeting up with others in Milton to travel north then over to Taieri Mouth and back over the hill to S.H. 1. Turning at the Golf Course to venture to Wals Garden Centre Café for afternoon tea. Great to have Rona Millar and Jarvie family members along in Buddies Car. August Run - Taking the route of the first run 4 years ago. Meet at the Clubrooms 1 p.m. A round trip travelling to Clutha Valley, Lawrence and returning through Manuka Gorge.
