Christmas Messages

I receive these e-mails prior to Christmas, from the President and our North Island Club Captain Kaaren Smylie

Good morning Members This is not quite a Christmas message from the Queen but it's pretty close... Jim and I, would both like to wish you all a fabulous Christmas and relaxing break over the New Year with your respective families. Additionally, I would personally like to express my thanks to you for your support to me as your North Island Club Captain during this year. May 2020 be prosperous, healthy and fun-filled for us all. Best Wishes for the Festive Season and above all folks safe motoring over the holidays!

Secretary Snippets

Well, 2020 has arrived. All the best for a happy and healthy 2020 year. I have had this newsletter partly ready, for some time. I have been very busy with shifting and spent sometime in the hospital from a misadventure and a blood infection. Then I went to Rotorua for several days, but I have, now returned to Taumarunui. It now takes 3 weeks to get an appoinment with a doctor in Taumarunui. So I went to a doctor in Rotorua, and had my medication changed, My computer has also been “down” since the shift several times. Also, in this newsletter I have the information on the Kiwi Fuel Cards system. I didn ‘t know of the trip to Ohinepane had been planned or been contacted, therefore were not able to contact members of our Branch through the email system. Our thoughts are with the Rule family at this time, with the tragic death of Kevin in the accident. We hope for Pauline to have a speedy recovery. Coming Events Taupo Rally I have entry forms for the Taupo Country Roads Rally on the 13th 14th & 15th of March See poster in this newsletter The Executive Meeting Of the Vintage Car Club is being held on the 28th March2020 at the Miraimar Links Golf Course. Anyone able to attend. Please let me know. Easter Rally 10th to 13th April in Levin The Annual General Meeting is not until the 31st of May not in April, as Julie stated in the minutes. This is from the information sheet issued by the National Organisation just after the last Annual General Meeting. I didn ‘t know of the trip to Ohinepane had been planned or been contacted, therefore were not able to contact members of our Branch through the email system.
