SUSTAINING OUTSTANDING RESULTS November 7th, 2017 - Good Practice Visit to City of Glasgow College, Glasgow, United Kingdom Sustainaing Outstanding Results: Best Practices from the EFQM Excellence Award 2016 City of Glasgow College is one of the UK's largest technical and professional skills college of further and higher education. Our twin site super campus development is redefining a new era for college education in Scotland which will enrich and improve opportunities for our students. City of Glasgow College, like Scotland as a nation, is a real melting pot of diversity, equality and excellence. We deliver above sector success rates for our students. Our innovative approaches to learning and teaching enable personalised development across a range of nearly 2,000 courses from Access Level to Masters degrees. In fact 16% of all Scotland’s graduates who moved into employment in 2014/15 came from our college. We support 8,000 graduates annually to revitalise our economy and transform life chances for those with determination to succeed in further and higher education. We’re ambitious for our students, delivering for the UK, delivering for employers, contributing directly to the Scottish economy, and enhancing our status as a leader in Maritime trade and education. The College’s purpose to ‘Let Learning Flourish’ has resulted in a common vision of Inspiration, Excellence and Innovation and which is supported at all levels across our organisation. The good practice day will start with a presentation by Mr Paul Little, Principal and CEO of the college with insights on how City of Glasgow College has ‘sustained outstanding results’. A tour of the college’s multi-award winning City campus will follow with lunch in our highly prized restaurant run by our students.
